Dense Fog Advisory in Effect Until 8 AM CST This Morning…

the National Weather Service in tallahassee has issued a dense fog advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM CST this morning.

abundant moisture in place combined with near calm winds has resulted in widespread dense fog across southeast alabama and the florida eastern panhandle. the dense fog will persist until around 8 AM EST before slowly lifting. until then, motorists travelling there should to be prepared to encounter dense fog and sudden drops in visibility.

precautionary/preparedness actions…

a dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. if driving, slow
down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
