the National Weather Service in tallahassee has issued a

* severe thunderstorm warning for,
holmes county in the panhandle of florida,
northwestern jackson county in the panhandle of florida,
southeastern coffee county in southeast alabama,
southwestern dale county in southeast alabama,
geneva county in southeast alabama,
northwestern houston county in southeast alabama…

* until 130 AM CDT

* at 1247 AM CDT, doppler radar indicated a line of severe
thunderstorms producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. these storms were located along a line extending from ozark to 7 miles north of slocomb to 19 miles south of slocomb, or along a line extending from blackwell field a/p to wicksburg to richter crossroads, and moving west at 35 mph. wind damage has been reported with these storms.

* other locations in the warning include but are not limited to fort rucker, hartford, daleville, level plains, enterprise, new
brockton, geneva and samson

precautionary/preparedness actions…

this is a dangerous storm. if you are in its path, prepare
immediately. people outside should move inside a strong building but away from windows.
