a dense fog advisory is now in effect until 6 am cst early
this morning…

recent observations across southeast alabama have indicated that visibilities have dropped to one-half mile or below. as the cold front approaches in the next few hours…winds should increase ending the threat of dense fog. until then…motorists should use extra caution and expect rapid changes in visibility on area roadways and highways.

Dense fog advisory in effect until 6 AM CST early this
morning…

the National Weather Service in tallahassee has issued a dense fog advisory, which is in effect until 6 AM CST early this
morning.

* visibility, locally reduced to one quarter mile or less.

* impacts, travel will become difficult in spots due to the
sudden and significant reduction in visibility on area roadways. motorists should drive with extra caution

precautionary/preparedness actions…

a dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. if driving, slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
