...Weak cold FRONT to move across overnight tonight...

...Much cooler and drier weather to end the week with a FREEZE
possible Friday NIGHT into early Saturday...
In WAKE of front...all the latest models forecast very strong HIGH
(currently 1034mb) over Plains to move SEWD and somewhat weaken with
rapid ridging building ESE along the Northeast Gulf Coast. This will
yield tightening gradients. Expect clearing skies but BREEZY
conditions and meager DEW point depressions will prevent a rapid
TEMP FALL and development of FROST Thursday night. Significantly
colder AIR on the wings of ideal radiational cooling is expected to
arrive with lows dropping into the 30s on Friday morning away from
the coast. Another cold morning is expected on Saturday morning with
temperatures dipping to near the freezing mark across some areas
away from the coast. This will LIKELY be our first freeze of the
season for portions of local area. As the surface high moves east of
our forecast area Saturday, highs will rebound back to average in
the lower 70s.
