Tuesday evening into Wednesday will be the best chance for rain of any measurable substance for our entire viewing area we have had in several weeks.  While this is good news for us, there are some complications with this.

Rain will begin as early as 8 pm in some of our western counties…and continue through the evening and through the day Wednesday. Dothan is unfortunately between two areas that will have higher concentrations of rain, central Alabama and just south of Apalachicola.

In addition to the potential from .25″-1″ of rainfall, comes a slight risk for severe storms as pegged by the Storm Prediction Center.  The main threat for this lies within the squall line, which will not move through until Midday Wednesday. Tornadic threat remains low, but gusty winds and small hail are possible.
