the National Weather Service in tallahassee has issued a

* severe thunderstorm warning for,
northwestern gadsden county in florida,
jackson county in the panhandle of florida,
henry county in southeast alabama,
houston county in southeast alabama,
clay county in southwest georgia,
western decatur county in southwest georgia,
early county in southwest georgia,
western miller county in southwest georgia,
quitman county in southwest georgia,
seminole county in southwest georgia…

* until 1230 AM cdt/130 AM edt/

* at 1225 AM EDT, the National Weather Service has detected a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. these storms were located along a line extending from georgetown to chattahoochee, or along a line extending from wire bridge to jinks, and moving west at 35 mph.

these storms have a history of blowing down power lines in colquitt in miller county.

* other locations in the warning include but are not limited to columbia, abbeville, ashford, webb, headland, cowarts,
kinsey, cottonwood, marianna and dothan

this is a dangerous storm. if you are in its path, prepare
immediately. people outside should move inside a strong building but away from windows.
